kingcountyjournal.com - Sounders earn playoff bid in style
Craig Tomlinson, who subbed in at the 80:27 mark, helped set up Seattle's tying goal when he took control of the ball at midfield, stayed on his feet and kept going after being tripped, and got it to Levesque, who was on top of goalkeeper Scott Alexander's front porch.
Down by a goal with less than six minutes left, second-half sub Levesque scored twice -- the equalizer at 84:11, and the game-winner 2:02 into the four-minute span of stoppage time -- as Seattle pulled out a 3-2 victory ovr the El Paso Patriots in Seahawks Stadium.
That gave Levesque, who just joined the Sounders on Aug. 6 from San Jose of Major League Soccer, his first two goals as a pro.

Two things were striking in this extraordinary event performed by Roger Woodward, Stephanie McCallum, Vanessa Tomlinson, Nathan Waks and Edward Neeman.
One was the demands made by Xenakis on the performers, whether on piano, cello or percussion, as if possessing them from beyond, enforcing the tortuous stretch of arms and hands in the rapid traversal of keyboards, Vanessa Tomlinson’s furious playing-as-dance, Woodward’s manipulation of an original score comprising massive pages.
The brave pianists were Robert Curry, Daniel Herscovitch, ErzsŽbet MarosszŽky and Stephanie McCallum.

GeoWorld - Dec 99 - GIS Canada -- How Will the Canadian GIS Industry Fare in the New Millennium?
Canadian geographer Roger Tomlinson, under contract to the government of Canada, began developing CGIS in the mid-1960s when few people had even heard the term GIS.
Canadians are proud of their long and extensive experience with GIS and all the related sciences and technology collectively called "geomatics" in Canada.
As with other things quintessentially Canadian (e.g., hockey, basketball and the telephone), after GIS is successfully popularized, Canadians must be prepared to no longer control GIS' destiny, but strive to remain active participants in its growth.

EMANEM 4092: ALAN TOMLINSON / STEVE BERESFORD / ROGER TURNER
On TRAP STREET he's joined by the ever surprising Steve Beresford (electronics and objects) and the ludicrously inventive Roger Turner (percussion) in a fine example of what the London scene is particularly good at: strong personalities meeting and playing together without feeling any need to upstage each other.
TRAP STREET reveals the width of his talent to a generation of free improv fans who never crossed his 1980 solo LP.
Refusing to settle into a particular groove, several of the pieces on TRAP STREET are surprisingly quiet - both N2 and W7 are not afraid to play within the confines of both lower decibels and silence.
