		Roger was working as a Post Office clerk when he took on the role of Sandy Richardson in the ITV soap opera, Crossroads, a role he would play for 15 years.
		Roger became the first disabled actor in a soap; however, it was something he always played down and his illness was never talked about.

		Son of motel owner Meg Richardson, Sandy helped run the motel that always had twice the ratio of staff to guests.

		Sky Hunter was originally made in 1978 by producer/director Roger Tonge.
		The new version was compiled using the original edited material from the 1978 series - the individual 'tracks' which made up the programmes (sound, narration, music, sound effects, etc) were sourced so that, for instance, the narration could be removed and redone without affecting the rest of the soundtrack of the story.
		Unfortunately, the BBC had lost the tracks of music and effects - so original musician Roger Limb composed a completely new score for the new series.
