		Rogers County is a county located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.
		In the county, the population was spread out with 28.70% under the age of 18, 7.40% from 18 to 24, 28.60% from 25 to 44, 24.00% from 45 to 64, and 11.30% who were 65 years of age or older.
		The median income for a household in the county was $44,471, and the median income for a family was $50,707.

		Rogers County, formerly an important section of the northwestern part of the Cherokee Nation, contains about seven hundred square miles of land, nearly all of which is well adapted to raising all of the staple crops of that latitude.
		Rogers County is especially favored with an almost inexhaustible supply of natural gas at depths of from 650 to 1,250 feet.
		The greatest gas field yet discovered in the county is that south and west of Foyil, seven miles north and west of Claremore, where numerous wells have been brought in, each with a daily volume of from 7,000,000 to 16,000,000 cubic feet.

		Rogers County was formed January 26, 1907 from the Cherokee Nation and was named for Clement Vann Rogers.
		Citizens of the area began circulating a petition asking that the county be named for "Uncle Clem" because of his long-time contributions to local and tribal affairs.
		According to the Inola Register, Jan. 25, 1907, Clem Rogers "did himself proud" in accepting the honor conferred upon him by the naming of the county in his honor, Clem Rogers is the father of the well renowned Will Rogers.

	Claremore, Rogers County, Oklahoma
		seat and principal city of Rogers County, is located in the south central part of the county at the junction of the Missouri Pacific (Iron Mountain) with the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad.
		Under this act the town was platted and improvements begun, but as at that time the Cherokee Council could not give but a possessory right to real estate, complete title to lots was not secured, as in many other towns, until the enactment of the Curtis Act in 1898.
