Rogue is a comlex character and I feel that Rodi has so many avenues to explore with her rather than say Bishop whose had far too much support for a solo series.

Comics, from when I used to read the comics Rogue was a much better character, on the plus side wolverine is more intense in the movies than in the comics.
I am used to seeing Rogue flying so to see her not flying in the movie was really disappointing to me. In the movie's she did nothing but just stand around.
In the comic, cartoon Rogue can touch a mutant only for a while and use his powers, but in the movie I've noticed that she had to touch John all the time to put out the fire.

The initial four books written by Stackpole encompass the “Rogue Squadron” series, which tells of the reformation of the squadron shortly following the comics, and I guess could be called a continuation of them but feature a continuing plot separate from it.
The next novel features the Rogues, having assimilated some Wraiths after the Wraiths were transferred to intelligence work, dealing with the return of a clone of Isard.
The quality is better than the comics, bar possibly the third Omni, which is the best and much of it is nearly as good as the novels, considering that they're different mediums which are used to tell different kinds of stories.
