		Gunung Rokatenda yang berada di wilayah Kecamatan Palue -- pulau kecil di Laut Flores -- telah menunjukan peningkatan aktivitas sejak 16-18 Januari 2005 lalu dengan terjadinya 15 kali bunyi dentuman yang cukup keras.
		Gunung Rokatenda terakhir kali meletus tahun 1985 dengan tinggi letusan sekitar 2.000 meter dan lontaran material pijar setinggi 300 meter di atas pusat letusan.
