Rolf Harris - Biography - AOL Music
Harris simply went on playing the instrument as soon as the flames were contained, inspiring the local press to make merry.
It is typical of Harris that one of the first biographical details he likes to mention is that, at age four, he got scarlet fever and was quarantined for months, a period that enemies of silly music no doubt wished had been stretched ad infinitum.
Harris entered the new millennium with not as much as a nod or a wink, continuing a series of television travel specials, charity work for animals and the handicapped, and performances such as a pair of appearances at the British Glastonbury Festival.

Harris was created a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) on 17 June 2006, having previously been created a Member (MBE) in 1968 and an Officer (OBE) in 1977.

Harris' career received a boost in 1993 when his cover version of Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" became a hit, reaching number 7 on the Top 10 of the UK singles chart.

However, Rolf makes this a family song by removing the "ambiguity" in some of the lyrics with undeniably clean and wholesome words, although the eefing and arfing of the Sheilas' chorus is a weak point.
Rolf was obviously so taken by the frenetic movement of the original that he took care to get this over by using an arrangement very similar to "Jake the Peg" but with extra bounce and gospel chorus, presumably so that the extra leg could be used to advantage.
Rolf uses his signature "minimalist" approach developed in his televisual artistic exploits ("Can you hear the tune yet?") to give a refreshingly clean arrangement, reducing it to its bare bones to reveal a very dancable song.
