Stockton police investigated but dropped the case a month later, after being unable to confirm the abuse of a 9-year-old boy.

STOCKTON - A man who has accused a former priest of sexual abuse didn't do enough to avoid the alleged molestation, according to court documents filed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Stockton.
In 1999, the Stockton diocese agreed to pay $7.5 million to settle a lawsuit brought by two brothers who claimed O'Grady molested them.
The lawsuit accuses O'Grady and the diocese of various acts including sexual abuse, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud and negligent supervision.
