Joined Band: Ron joined Metallica in January 1982 as their first bass player but was quickly replaced by Cliff Burton in later on that year.
Ron never wrote or recorded any official songs with Metallica except for a few cover songs and demos, one of which was the very first version of "Hit The Lights" featuring Lloyd Grant on lead guitar.
Ron went on to other things including a brief stint with "Hirax" and was featured in Metallica's Behind The Music special on VH-1 in 1998.
