His biggest claim to fame so far is as bassist and frontman for UK Underground Space rock band Hawkwind from 1995-2002.
Tree provided vocals and bass with Thoms (lead guitar and vocals) and Ferari (drums) on two new tracks for the Steve Took's Horns album Blow It!!!

Owners of a family tree farm in Scio, OR, have won the national "Outstanding Tree Farmer of the Year" Award.
The honor was presented to Ron and Barbara Bentz on Saturday, November 9, at an Asheville, NC, convention sponsored by the American Tree Farm System (ATFS), a program of the American Forest Foundation in partnership with state tree farm organizations.
The Bentz's were selected from among 65,000 other Certified Tree Farmers in ATFS because their tree farm is a shining example of sustainable forest management.

Dozens of musicians have passed through Hawkwind over the years, but Dave Brock has been at the heart of the band since they formed.
Other members have included Lemmy Kilmister (who went on to form Motörhead), Nik Turner, Harvey Bainbridge, Del Dettmar, Huw Lloyd Langton, Robert Calvert, Paul Rudolph (former Pink Fairies/Deviants member) and Twink (another Pink Fairies member) and more recently, Ron Tree as bassist and frontman.
Other members who may have been better known for their careers outside Hawkwind include Ginger Baker and Arthur Brown.

Here are 3 photos of an unusual pattern on the bark of one tree that I noticed in Pipes Canyon last week.
One hiker confidently asserted that it was the result of a sapsucker that punches little holes and then makes return visits to suck sap (of course), but I had never met this guy before, and two other hikers who I rely on for naturalist advice had never seen this pattern before and were baffled.
