Ronald played for PSV Eindhoven from 1994 - 2004, before joining Manchester City under Kevin Keagan - where Rangers signed him in loan from in the 2005 January transfer window as cover for the injured Klos.
Waterreus has also played for Roda JC, spending his first two seasons as a professional with the club.
The stopper was first called up to the national squad in 2001, and was the back-up to Edwin van der Sar at Euro 2004.
