He set a world record of 468 1/4 pounds (212.5 kg) in the snatch, then raised 573 pounds (260 kg) on a single lift in the clean and jerk to break Weller's overall record of 1,025 1/4 pounds (465 kg).
Just as in Atlanta in 1996, Weller (1,030 1/2 pounds, 467.5 kg), who raised 567 1/2 pounds (257.5 kg) in the clean and jerk, was beaten out by a record lift by the gold medalist.
Weller now has three Olympic medals since he was seriously injured and his wife was killed in a car accident in 1989.

Peter Weller is quite impressive in the role and manages to be even more human than most of the people in the film, other ideas surface about whether Robocop understands who he is and how to live with what's happened.
Peter Weller returns as Robocop who this time takes on a group of sadistic druglords as well as a cyborg gone bezerk, of course subplots have people wondering if Robocop is human or not, in this entertaining sequel which has lots of action and satire but only occasionally hits the mark.

I was riveted to the screen by its simple, yet well constructed, storyline and mucho touched by Murphy’s (Wellers) journey.
Peter Weller's (Murphy/RoboCop) monotone voice worked for the role of the Cyborg and I actually got more emotions out of him when he was in RoBo mode than when he was in human mode.
