Rory Bremner FKC (born April 6, 1961) is a British impressionist and comedian, born in Edinburgh, in Scotland, noted for his political satire.
It was a parody of Paul Hardcastle's number one hit, 19, with Bremner impersonating cricket commentators, including Richie Benaud and Brian Johnston, and replacing references to the Vietnam War with references to the 1932-3 "Bodyline" cricket tour.
Educated at Clifton Hall School in Midlothian, Wellington College, Bremner then studied at King's College London and he was awarded Honorary Life Membership of King's College London Students' Union in the early 2000s.

Bremner, Bird and Fortune is an award-winning satirical British television programme produced by Channel Four, uniting the longstanding satirical team of John Bird and John Fortune (the Two Johns) with the satirical impressionist Rory Bremner.

More fun was generated by the technique of superimposing a pair of lips on to library footage of the face of deputy PM John Prescott, thereby enabling Bremner to literally put words in his mouth.
This was another quality contribution from Bremner and his team; in a TV world of increasingly safe options it was reassuring to know that the torch of political satire was in safe hands.

Mimicry is endlessly entertaining and few in the field can surpass Rory Bremner whose particular brand of political satire usually brims with perspicacity and irreverent wit.
As the show opens 'Tony Blair' (a bewigged Bremner) admonishes the audience for their mindless culpability and pleasure in parody; it's a great intro and sets the tone (excuse the pun!) for the rest of the evening which becomes a sort of vocal greatest hits package.
Their sketch exposing the British Army's apparently woeful preparations for war in Iraq is a gem and though Bird's brief stint as Robert Mugabe is less seamless, Fortune's perverse tale of dubious bliss aboard a British train scores highly on irony as the country rattles towards a third world service.
