		BOARD ASKED TO The Roscommon County Board of Commissioners has been asked to contribute $5,000 towards the nearly $35,000 cost of a marine patrol boat its members had understood was a gift of the Higgins Lake Foundation.
		The boat is intended to be a second unit to be used "exclusively on Higgins Lake except for search and rescue and then only on other lakes in Roscommon County," Robert Morley, president of the foundation confirmed in a letter to the board May 9, 2000.
		The Higgins Lake Foundation recently contributed $35,000 to the Roscommon County Marine Patrol to purchase a new boat equipped with a laser range finder and sound meter.
