Roseau County is the result of a split of the neighboring Kittson County.

The Roseau Rams road game against arch rival Warroad Warriors will be televised once again on Fox Sports North as part of their Minnesota High School Hockey Night series.
David focused on Roseau's tradition and history in the game and put together a graphic showing one of the first organized teams shown in fl and white indicating the past and the 1999 state champion team in color indicating the present.
In his research of Roseau hockey, he found that the first organized team was in 1906 and first high school team was assembled in 1916.
