Muten-Rôshi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roshi constantly tries to grab the breasts, poke the butt, or touch the bra or panties of any remotely sexy woman he can get close enough to; this list includes, but is not limited to: Bulma, Lunch, Chi-Chi, Android 18, and Videl.
Muten Roshi is one of the few characters to survive in the "Trunks Timeline," as seen the The History of Trunks special.
Also, when Bulma (Nora in the U.S. Version) wants the dragon ball from Master Roshi, Roshi wants to see her panties in exchange for the dragon ball, which is followed by a scene of Master Roshi with panties flying around him.

Kongo Roshi, as an American, uniquely brought a deep and rich experience to bear in transmitting those most refined and precious arts that have their basis in oriental culture including Zen and Taoism.

In 1999, Roshi was diagnosed with an illness requiring that he have a liver transplant.

Roshi focuses on Yasutani-roshi's insistence that the Heart Sutra not be translated into English here in the United States, but that it be chanted in Japanese.
This was a point that Roshi found especially problematic, he writes, because the Prajna Paramita has been translated into all the languages of the various Buddhist countries.
As Roshi writes in Zen: Merging of East and West, his break with Yasutani-roshi was painful for him and not something that he is at all proud of.

 ROSHI
Roshi is a form of EDF (Electroencephalographic Disentrainment Feedback), which is a type of brainwave entrainment utilising variable light and/or magnetic stimulation to disentrain or "reset" the brain’s activity to a more desired state.
The Roshi system is more variable since it is EEG-driven and not delivered at a set frequency so therefore it is less likely to produce habituation or fatigue.
The Roshi is an inhibit-based strategy, focused on changing or diminishing ongoing or "stuck" dominant patterns in the brain.

The ROSHI differs from standard EEG feedback in that a pair of goggles with lights is used to communicate with the brain directly and the information that is being communicated is arising from that very brain.
With the ROSHI the information is fed back to the brain as the lights adapt their frequencies according to the activity of the brain.
The ROSHI was designed to move the average person towards health and the centered aware state achieved through meditation.

Like earlier pivotal figures in Buddhism’s 2500-year evolution across civilizations, Genpo Roshi is working to transmit the essence of the Buddha’s teachings in a plain language and a non-intimidating, humorous style that can be readily heard and understood by Westerners in a way that makes Zen and Buddhism relevant to our every day lives.
Roshi’s amazingly simple style of teaching, melding the ancient wisdom of Zen tradition with the insights of such visionary western figures as Carl Jung, Fritz Perls, and Hal Stone, has transformed western Zen teaching.

It is expected and repeatedly taught that the students should defer to and exalt the term "Master" or "roshi," a title and the ceremonial position it stands for, rather than relying on their own good sense and intuition in matters relating to the teacher's authority.
