Thomas is better at presenting characteristics than characters in "Voodoo, Ltd." The denizens of this book remain largely undeveloped while spending too much of their time assembling to discuss the plot and to signal the next twist.

There is a presumption that since Thomas Taylor and Thomas Bann Ross had been together in Frasers Highlanders and at, the Mohawk valley and then as members of the Kings Royal regiment of New York and finally as neighbours in Lancaster Township that they had known each other in Scotland and may have been related.
Thomas served with the regiment for the remainder of the war years and on disbandment in 1784 came to Glengarry to settle in what later became known as Lancaster Township on the farm next to Thomas Taylor Ross
