Nine huge wind turbine blades destined for the Arklow Bank wind farm have just been offloaded at Rosslare Europort, the first of two such shipments from Brazil.
The blades were loaded on board the vessel the Bremer Timber in Santos, Brazil around the middle of May and were offloaded at Rosslare Harbour on June 7.
The turbines will now be assembled in Rosslare before being transported to Arklow Bank, while two other shipments with other machinery parts are expected in early July.
