Roy Archibald Young (1882- December 31, 1960) was a U.S. banker.
Most significantly, he was chairman of the Federal Reserve Board between 1927 and 1930.

John Young, Fernbank, received a letter from one of the chaplains in Salonika last week, confirming the death of his son, Dr. Fergus Hay Young, M.A. Ch.B., who was on board the troopship "Marquette" when she was torpedoed in the Aegean Sea on 24th October.
Young, who was a Lieutenant in the R.A.M.C., was rescued from the water, but that he died of exhaustion, and was buried at Salonika.
Young's family, and the sympathy of the community goes out to him and his family at this time.

By 1825 Andrew Roy had bought out his partners and the brewery was trading under the name of Andrew Roy and Co. After 1837 the neighbouring Hutton Park Brewery of John H Syme was also acquired.
After Arrol’s death in 1888 the business passed to his younger sons Walter and Archibald who continued the recovery of the company which had been initiated by their father.
As a young man Archibald Arrol moved to Glasgow where he became a merchant and eventually a burgess of the city.
