The last known news was that the airline was finally granted the paperwork to initiate air service scheduled back in the middle of November with supposedly a former Air Aruba MD-90 parked in the desert.
The only aircraft under the airline's register and in the airline's colors is an EMB-120 which arrived at TNCA/AUA earlier this year, but it has been parked up at Beatrix Airport rotting away in the hot Caribbean sun and the salty tradewinds found on the island of Aruba.
Actually Royal Aruban Airlines was declared bankrupt in December 2005 by a federal judge in Aruba, and that's without them ever making a revenue flight.
