 The Royal Wanstead Foundation
The Royal Wanstead Foundation (RWF) is a registered charity and the modern successor of an institution founded in 1827 as the Infant Orphan Asylum by the Victorian philanthropist Dr Andrew Reed.
Known for many years as the Royal Infant Orphanage, the charity is now regulated under the legal title Royal Wanstead School, granted by the Royal Wanstead School Act 1939, by a further Act in 1959, by statutory instruments in 1955 and 1971, and a Charity Commissioner’s Scheme of 1991.
Three of the eight Governors are former pupils of the Royal Wanstead School – the RWF Chairman Colin Morrison, former Chairman Derek Thackray, and John Spinks.

 Women in Wolverhampton's History - Women's Education
A statistical analysis of marriage registers from 1846 by J Ginswick in Labour and the Poor in England and Wales 1849-1851 revealed that in the Wolverhampton district out of 1,133 marriages, not less than 833 (or 73%) women signed the register with their marks.
The Girls' High School, opened in 1911, was an important new factor in education for girls in Wolverhampton.
Only five took the "Higher Schools Certificate" in 1939 and the fact that most pupils were destined to become wives and mothers is reflected in the school's activities - which included a 'grandchildren's day' - and by the long lists of marriages and births in the school magazines.

The Royal Wolverhampton School presumes to be able to judge him on the flimsiest whiff of accusation; an accusation thrown out by a court judge who was in a far better position to review the evidence against him than you, me or anyone at the school.
That the school can presume to put themselves above the law and act as judge and jury and find Mr Howarth guilty of a crime, when a higher authority hasn't, is offensive.

In 1849 the Royal Hospital was opened and the Dispensary was moved there.
