With the latest scandal surrounding the behaviour of rugby league players dominating the front and back pages of the newspapers, the New South Wales Junior Rugby League has begun a campaign to stop bad behaviour on and off the field.
As part of the campaign, the league will release sports rage prevention booklets, aimed at educating young players and their parents and coaches about good play and good behaviour.
Junior league spokesman Martin Meredith said the current scandal involving young Newcastle Knights players was upsetting, but everyone had to take responsibility for their actions, no matter how much pressure they were under.
