The bears in our Rupertsland hunting areas come in all of the color phases from blond, brown, cinnamon to fl.
Although this was an unusually cold and late spring, and hunting conditions were anything but ideal, with hard work by guides and guests, we managed to reach our normal hunting success rate, with some super bears taken in the process.
But as any sportsman knows, hunting is more than just taking a trophy or filling the freezer - at Rupertsland we also like to spend the quiet evenings by the open fire sharing stories of the days events and looking forward to seeing old friends again the next hunting season.

In the early days, when the Natives and the buffalo were lords of the prairies, the area we live in was part of Rupertsland or the Northwest Territories, a large grant of land given by Charles II of England to the Hudson's Bay Company in 1670.
They concluded that Rupertsland, granted by the Hudson's Bay Charter, and regions beyond to the Pacific, would soon require a more regular form of government.
This report proposed that a separate province be formed west of the Rockies and that the rest be united with Canada.
