  Boyd, Russell - Department of Chemistry
Biography: Russell Boyd was born in Kelowna, the centre of British Columbia's wine-producing and fruit-growing Okanagan Valley.
Boyd joined Dalhousie University as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in 1975 and rose through the ranks to become a Professor in 1985.
Boyd is a Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada, a member of the College of Reviewers of the Canada Research Chairs, and a member of the Scientific Board of the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry.

Russell went on to attend MT Tech, where he graduated in the Petroleum Engineering program on May 14, ‘05, and had a job waiting with Sanjel, where he was to live and work in the Miles City area.
Russell never met a stranger he could not communicate with, one way or another, and his friends delighted in taking him places because they knew he would always get along with the people he would be meeting.
Russell leaves behind, in addition to his parents, his sister, E. Rhae Smith, and maternal grandparents Joe and Ruby Harris of Buckingham,Va. He has a special aunt, Eleanor S. Mackey from Waynesboro, Va., and a great-aunt Jo Wills of Sulfolk, Va. There are many aunts, uncles and cousins living in the state of Virginia.

Boyd was identified by several neighbors in the area at the time of the murder, and friends testified he had suddenly come into a lot of money.
After first denying any involvement, Boyd later confessed to committing the first burglary, and to entering the house on the afternoon of the murder, but claimed to have entered the bedroom only to find Falkenstein already dead.

RUSSELL BOYD: The scope I've got in my job is to use two tools, really, camera and light, and they're quite separate, one to create mood with light and the other one to enhance that mood with camera angles, I guess, and camera movement.
