“Russkaya Pravda” (Русская Правда in Russian, which means “Russian truth”) is the Old Russian legal code in times of Kievan Rus and feudal division.
“Pravda Iaroslava” comprised legal regulations of feudal law along with the archaic regulations that could be traced back to the primitive communal system.
“Pravda Iaroslavichey” increased responsibility of a given community for killing knyaz’s soldiers, tiuns (“tiun”, a privileged servant of knyazs or boyars), starostas (“starosta”, a representative from the low-ranking administration of a knyaz’), otroks (“otrok”, a low-ranking soldier in the army of a knyaz’) and other servants on their own territory.

Such a demand contradicts article 108 of the CCP of the RSFSR since the prosecutor could institute proceedings against “Russkaya Pravda” on the basis of the warning contained in Ryabov’s article.
Possibly, the prosecutor’s office would never have initiated proceedings under article 74 CC RSFSR, and from 1997 under article 282 CC RF, were it not for the concern of public organizations and citizens who filed applications to the office for initiation of criminal cases for inciting anti-Semitism.

Moscow Human Rights Bureau reports that on 9 June Moscow’s Khamovnichesky Inter-Municipal Court dismissed the claim brought by Russkaya Pravda (Russian Truth) newspaper editor-in-chief Alexander Aratov in 2001 against International Jewish Newspaper and well-known writer Alexander Rekemchouk for insult to honour and dignity and moral damages.
Rekemchouk who described Aratov as one of the ideologists of fascism maintains that he was right to speak in such terms about the man who published and distributed such books as Mein Kampf, The Doctrine of Fascism by Mussolini and Racial Hygiene in National-Socialist Germany.
Alexander Rekemchouk was represented in court by MHRB Legal Director, lawyer Vladimir Novitsky.

words for law, compare "Russkaia Pravda" (the Yaroslav Law codex), "Merilo Pravednoe" etc. Zakon is an Old Church Slavic word that was used in Medieval Rus' solely in translations.
Also, note that Lex Salica corresponds to Russkaya Pravda in some way, and law codes of early medieval Germans are referred to as "varvarskie pravdy" in Russian.
