Noted landscape photographer Henry Hamilton Bennett was born in Farnham, Canada on January 15, 1843, the eldest of twelve children of Harriet A. Houghton Bennett (1819-1896) and George H. Bennett (1810-1894).
Because of his contribution to the development of tourism in the area, Bennett is sometimes referred to as "the Father of the Dells." Although Bennett is best known for his photographs of the Dells area and the Ho Chunk inhabitants of the area, he also photographed St. Paul, Milwaukee, Chicago, and the 1893 Columbian Exposition.
Bennett joined her husband in the studio, assuming the majority of the portrait work while Bennett did the outdoor views.

Bennett made his debut as the choreographer for A Joyful Noise (1966), which lasted only twelve performances, followed in 1967 by another failure, Henry, Sweet Henry (based on the Peter Sellers film The World of Henry Orient).
In the early 1970s, Bennett began conducting a series of group therapy-style workshops to which he invited "gypsies" - chorus boys and girls - inviting them to share their feelings and frustrations about their careers.

Arnold Bennett was born on 27th May 1867 in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and moved to London in 1889.
The manuscript of the novel 'Lilian' and Bennett's Journal covering the period 21 September 1906 to 18 July 1907 are of particular interest, the latter having been published by Penguin.
This includes some 30 first editions of Bennett's works, most of which carry his manuscript dedication, a typewritten manuscript of 'The Peggy Stories' written for children by Tertia Bennett, family photographs and a series of letters from Arnold to Tertia and her husband written over a period of 30 years.

Although he had no formal education, rancher L.P Bennett and his wife, Ruth, wanted to send the last of their four boys and four girls to Abilene Christian, but cash was not an option because the cattle business was poor in the late 1920s, even before the Great Depression.
Bennett borrowed large sums of money, and he put up the ranch as collateral.
