		I don't see a thing wrong with anything portraying gay characters in a positive role, unfortunately society and the media are a bit backward in this respect as they seem to think that it would "turn" all the kids gay.
		There would also potentially be a problem with certain retailers in the US with a homosexual character, especially if it actually has some impact on the game, so no-one would risk the money involved in developing a game.
		Before someone brings it up I do not think that Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue) is gay no matter how badly dubbed his pursuit of sailors is! He obviously has feeling for Nazomi but given his drive to avenge his father's death he's not going to do anything about it.

		I also would have thought they would have finished it in Novel form, because it seemed like they were never going to continue it, but it's great they're still planning a game.
		EDIT: Shenmue is an old Classic, it may not have sold when it was first released, but it is now incredibly popular from what I've seen in the past year, tons of people talk about it, really, I think that if Microsoft or Nintendo get the right audience & advertising, it could really work.

		In an interview with gamer.com.tw Suzuki admits to closing the doors on the beloved franchise, but he said that if the project were ever green-lighted he would be happy to return to the world of Ryo Hazuki.
		This certainly comes as a striking blow to all the Shenmue fans who were clamoring onto that last shred of hope to see the final chapter of the series this generation.
		Perhaps someday Suzuki-san will be able to complete his story, but for now you will still be in the dark as to whether Ryo will ever get revenge for his father.

		As a piece of news that strikes through this author’s heart legendary SEGA developer Yu Suzuki has recently confirmed in an interview that there are currently no plans for Shenmue 3.
		In an interview conducted by gamer.com.tw a number of weeks ago Suzuki-san seems to have closed the final chapter on the tale of Ryo Hazuki and his search for revenge, although the man behind Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, Outrun and many more did claim that if the project was green-lighted he would happily return as director.
		If true the news would likely come as a sobering final disappointment for SEGA fans who invested much into the exuberant franchise that knocked the House of SEGA.
