SEAL Team ONE deploys platoons to Naval Special Warfare Unit ONE in Guam and conducts Deployments for Training (DFTs) throughout the Pacific and Central theaters.
SEAL Team One would continue to contribute heavily to the U.S. forces in Vietnam until the withdrawal of forces in 1975.

SEAL Team SIX, is the U.S. Navy's main counterterrorist unit, where operatives are drawn from the current SEAL ranks.
Whatever the truth behind these, the name "SEAL Team Six" is no longer in use, although most military servicemen and many civilians still recognize them as SEAL Team Six.
Of note is the use of SEAL Team 6 in the Counter-Terrorist versus Terrorist computer game Counter-Strike and its variants.

SEALs were attached to CSAR Units to help retrieve downed pilots, in one case rescuing a pilot who'd managed to pilot his crippled F-16 fighter off the coast of Kuwait before ejecting; he was rescued by the SEALs and the SH-60 Seahawk 35 minutes after they'd gotten word of his approximate position.
SEALs attached to the USS Curts (FFG-38) were the first to retake Kuwait i territory when OH-58D's attached to the Curts were fired upon by forces stationed on an island to observe Coalition Naval and Air activities.
