  SELF Object Model
SELF is a dynamically-typed language, and provides for run-time binding of a message sent to an object to the method that implements the requested operation.
SELF provides a form of classical object model in which the binding choice is based on the receiving object itself (rather than its class, since SELF has no classes).
In the SELF implementation, objects are represented by the values of their assignable slots, if any, and a pointer (not visible to the user) to a structure called the object's map; this map is shared by all members of the same clone family.

Self injury is their way to cope with or relieve painful or hard- to- express feelings and is generally not a suicide attempt.

 Feminist Perspectives on the Self
Whether the self is identified with pure abstract reason or with the instrumental rationality of the marketplace, though, these conceptions of the self isolate the individual from personal relationships and larger social forces.
The self is merely an unstable discursive node — a shifting confluence of multiple discursive currents — and sexed/gendered identity is merely a "corporeal style" — the imitation and repeated enactment of ubiquitous norms.
For Butler, psychodynamic accounts of the self, including Kristeva's and Chodorow's, camouflage the performative nature of the self and collaborate in the cultural conspiracy that maintains the illusion that one has an emotionally anchored, interior identity that is derived from one's biological nature, which is manifest in one's genitalia.

Self files must also be present if you want to test non trivial programs with this.
But much more important than that, the Self expression gave the exact same result even though there was a great difference in the order that the bytecodes were executed (the total number of steps didn't change, of course).
Self specifies evaluation order of arguments in expressions very carefully, but any program that depends on this won't work with tinySelf.

The implication is that teachers need to concentrate on the academic successes and failures of their students.
Given the above formula, this suggests that success in a particular subject area is not really changing one's self-concept (knowledge of one's self) or even self-esteem (one's subjective evaluation of one's value or worth), but rather is impacting one's expecation about future success based on one's past experience.
Seligman's (1996) work on explanatory style suggests that the intervening variable connecting self-esteem and achievement is the student's level of "optimism" or the tendency to see the world as a benevolent (good things will probably happen) or malevolent (bad things will probably happen).
