SINTRAN is the name of a range of operating systems for Norsk Data's line of minicomputers.
The original version of SINTRAN, released in 1968, was developed by the Department of Engineering Cybernetics at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in cooperation with the affiliated research institute, SINTEF.
By far the most common version of the OS was SINTRAN III, developed solely by Norsk Data and launched in 1974.

The command format is: Kermit-10>SEND filename Where "filename" is any normal SINTRAN filename or a filename preceded by an at sign ("@") - thus indicating an indirect file.
This indirect file should contain a list of the SINTRAN files to be sent each on a single line (use '!' as a comment indicator - it is only recognized at the beginning of a line).
If the SINTRAN filename form is used, the portion of the filename consisting of user, directory-name and version will be stripped before the filename is sent.

The best way is to make sure programs are source compatible, that they don't use any win32-specific calls, that they are made using autoconf.
That way, your programs will run on Apple ][, Cray T3, Dec Alpha, TRS-80 Model-16 running Xenix, ND-100 running SinTran, PC running DOS - and Linux and Windows.
This may be confusing, but it will seem natural in a short while.
