SIPphone: Internet Telephony Made Easy Posted: 08-12-2004, 9:37 PM Interesting technology.  Price seems to be the key factor.  In that case, I'll stay with OneSource.com, in which you use your landline (or cell, or phone booth) to connect to their long-distance system, because their rates are lower than SIP, for both domestic and international calls.
One disadvantage is that rates are higher if you use their 800 number to connect to them, that is, if you are not in an area for which they have local coverage.  However, like ISPs, they have significant local coverage in the U.S. Another disadvantage is that OneSuite is for U.S.-originating calls only.

SIPphone also offers free voicemail-to-email and free on-the-fly conference calling to all its customers, said Robertson, and those services are available to users at UCSD.
