 | | During their summer stay in Shanghai, faculty and students lived on campus at the SJTU Faculty Club in the center of Shanghai and participated in 15 organized group activities, including language and culture orientations, field trips, parties/picnics, and dinner banquets. |
 | | The students visited the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai’s Old City, Yu Garden, etc. The Shanghai Summer Program is a “general purpose” program where students can take humanities and social science courses that are relevant to the location, as well as engineering courses that are required for the students’ graduation. |
 | | Founded in 1896, SJTU is similar to Georgia Tech, as it is a leading engineering university that offers comprehensive academic programs. |
