		This quite rare small keyboard from 1987 (embossed case date stamp) is one of the successors of the famous Casio SK-1 lo-fi sampler.
		Unfortunately this instrument is missing the nice drawbar synthesizer and portamento of the SK-1, and the tekkno blip drums were replaced by ordinary percussion samples without accompaniment.
		Special is here that with ROM- Pack musics not only the sound of the main voice, but also of the obligato (2nd voice) and accompaniment can be selected by the user.

		I check all the SK pages I know of (as in, all the ones on my page) everyday or every other day to make sure my links are still valid and for updates (which sometimes include new links).

		One technique used in animation (not sure how much they use it in SK, though) is changing everything (background, objects) to a reddish hue during times of physical conflict, or during intense, climactic scenes.

		Gijs of Geiskes.nl has just sent me some information on their recent experiments with patching signals from an Casio SK-1’s ROM chip to a video monitor.
		The circuit is simply a diode to prevent the back flow of current and a resistor to drop the +5 Volt logic gate to a +2 Volt required for generating a video signal.
		The color of the pixel is determined by the voltage in between 0 (Black) and 2 (White), so if multiple points on the ROM chip were mixed with various resistor values color images will occur.

		i picked one of these up yesterday in a remote shop, its missing the rom card, but this is truly an amazing piece of machinery, it has an incredible built in sampler for guitar and mic.
		I have circit-bent my normal SK-8; I added also the slider + 2 additional rhythm buttons + 4 drumpad buttons, but with my hacked version the slider only exchanges 2 rhythms in "arabic" mode and plays tom drum and clap sounds on all keys when set to "set 1" or "set 2".
