		An employee's level of participation in SLEP is fixed for the calendar year based on status at time of enrollment.
		In cases where employees move between individual and family coverage during the course of participation in SLEP, their health insurance contribution credit will be adjusted upward or downward if appropriate to reflect the change in the employee share of their health insurance premium.
		If such an employee elected to participate in SLEP during calendar year 2002, he or she would accrue no sick leave during January, the first month of participation (a forfeiture of 1 3/4 days).

	SPACE.com -- Changing Priorities on Road to Shuttle Return to Flight
		Not many final decisions were made during the summit, which was the second annual SLEP gathering, largely due to the January announcement by President George W. Bush calling for the retirement of the shuttle fleet by 2010 and a commitment to send humans back to the Moon and on to Mars.
		While the prime focus of the SLEP summit was the requirements necessary for the shuttle programs return to flight, participants also discussed how the orbiters could support future manned space projects.
		SLEP officials outlined three distinct mission programs, the first covering the shuttle and ISS construction through 2010.

	Sick Leave Exchange Program
		Under the Sick Leave Exchange Program (SLEP), employees in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit (UUP) and SUNY M/C (Negotiating Unit 13) employees may elect to reduce their sick leave accrual rate in exchange for a credit to be applied toward the cost of their New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP) health insurance premiums.
		If such an employee elected to participate in SLEP during calendar year 2003, he or she would accrue no sick leave during January, the first month of participation (a forfeiture of 1 3/4 days).

	Sabreliner Government Services - T-37 Structural Life Extension Programs (SLEP)
		Without a near-term replacement (which has only recently been procured, as the "JPATS" or Texan II), the T-37 fleet was rapidly nearing the end of its projected life in the late 1980's.
		Sabreliner successfully designed, developed and provided 571 SLEP kits for an Air Force T-37B rehabilitation effort that extended the structural life of the aircraft by 8,000 hours each.

		The T-37B SLEP DADTA effort ended the SLEP program by integrating test and analysis results from other phases of the overall program to demonstrate that the 8,000 hour no inspection goal was achieved.
		The predictions of the crack growth models and the determination of crack growth retardation parameters were validated against the SLEP coupon spectrum test results and crack growth measurements made during the full-scale damage tolerance test program.

		Techspace Aero has signed an agreement with GE for the manufacture of the F110 SLEP high pressure turbine disk.
		The F110 Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) is an upgrade to the F110 engine installed in F-16 fighters which is expected to save maintenance hours and extend the life of the F110 engine.
		It is expected that about 850 engines will be upgraded with SLEP components over an 8–year period.
