		The SMPTE color bars are a type of television test pattern, and is most commonly used in countries where the NTSC video standard is dominant, such as in North America.
		Below the main set of seven bars is a strip of blue, magenta, cyan, and white castellations.

		The absolute color you see depends finally on how accurately the color primaries are generated in the display, but the bars should look the same color in SD or HD if everything is right with the bars, encoding and decoding.
		But the primary colors should not be the same for SD and HD (as shown in the x,y values above) and that is the advantage of displays that can now create 'psuedo" or "effective" SD and HD primaries from their native primary colors.
