The SSX crew was never terribly original to begin with, including the generic extreme sports-type “dudes” and the requisite busty blonde bombshell.
SSX 3 introduces three other aspects to the gameplay that are all equally welcome.
SSX 3’s courses are littered with shortcuts, some obvious and many not so obvious, but all equally rewarding in that you’ll get a serious lead in the race if you can navigate them successfully.

At the Council meeting that recommended SSX it was unanimously agreed that a ship using RL-10 engines, modified for altitude compensation, would have a marginal orbital capability: it might not be able to make orbit, but it would be close to that capability.
The original SSX concept envisioned building a couple of ships that would "almost make orbit": with luck and skill, one of them might actually be sent on an orbital mission.

SSX 3 is an incredible looking game, especially on the Xbox and GameCube, where it runs at a higher resolution, and the colors are richer and more vibrant.
Regardless of the platform, SSX 3 presents some of the most convincing-looking snow effects ever seen in a game (the snow actually glistens in the sun, and it's practically mouthwatering), and you'll intuitively be able to recognize certain types of snow.

SSX: Out of Bounds brings the SSX series that was made famous on the home consoles to the N-Gage portable game deck.
Granted it is not as pretty as SSX on the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox and the game suffers from some graphics problems, but it does look better than the Game Boy Advance version.

SSX is a one or two player snowboarding game that lives up to its EA Sports "BIG" moniker.
But at times it dips down, and what's odd about this is that it can happen even when there's no other boarders on the screen.
