ST Microelectronics Inc. has decided to put its graphics operations up for sale, placing the future of the Kyro graphics accelerator in limbo.
Kyro sales were apparently disappointing; ST said the business only accounted for approximately $15 million of ST's $6.36 billion revenues in 2001.
ST was believed to have an equity stake in Imagination, as well as have served as the Kyro's foundry, although a spokeswoman for ST Microelectronics in the U.S. could not confirm this at press time.

When an incoming call is received on the GSM phone, a signal is generated in the headset; the streaming MP3 audio is then interrupted to allow the call to take place, but resumes as soon as the call is completed.
