Wolf was originally scheduled to fly on STS 89 to MIR to join the crew.
Lawrence was scheduled to replace Foale onboard MIR, however, due to concerns about the minimum size restrictions of the Russian MIR Orlan EVA Spacesuit, Wolf was selected in her place.

STS-86 86 will be docking with Mir, as do all the other KidSat Missions, because of its high inclination of 56 degrees.
This means that the shuttle flies over the globe between 56 degrees north and 56 degrees south latitude.
