	Saab 98 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Saab 98 was the number used by Saab for a project in 1974 making a combi coupé based on the Saab 95.
		The construction of the 98 was based on the Saab 95 floorpan and the design was made by Björn Envall.
		The only surviving 98, in 'Siena Brown', is now on display in the Saab Museum in Trollhättan.

		The Quantum was first presented in 1962 and was only built in a few copies.

		The Saab 97 project as it was named was shown in the winter of '66 and production commenced with a tuned version of the 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine with 3 carburettors and producing 60 bhp.
		Saab had been planning a new model as long ago as 1974, but work did not get fully underway until 1979 and the collaboration with Fiat/Lancia in a project to produce a larger car.

		It is a tag on top on the rear with the drive belt (loosly) around the pulley.
		We work on dozens of these and I suspect one compressor manufacturer(or Saab) for inadequate compressor oil during assembly, which is why they are failing.

		There are several in the Boston area that will give you a good estimate of the work involved...A dealer is the option of last resort for any car out of warranty, although there are some fine ones in the area...
		Why I feel the my Saab is "NEW" when speaking to other Saab owners that have Saabs that are 10 to 15 years older than mine.
