		The prototype ship of any class is always called the USS [Name of Class] NX-[registry number according to timeline], so the prototype Sabre class would be called the USS Sabre, and would have been commissioned long before our Hornet class.
		My suggestion is to move the Hornet class ship mount to just under the weapons pod on the roll bar stretching between the two engineering hulls that extend aft off the saucer.
		Granted this would make other ships detecting the hornet class easier, but it would improve the hornet class's ability to detach and launch off in different directions, and would keep it out of the way of the deflector, allowing the ship to go to warp.

		Class 6 weapons may well have not been widely distributed at this point.
		an akira class, on of the heaviest does not have that many torp launchers, and shuttle bays are big things, they are two decks min, and have huge doors, not little slidey things.
