I remember enjoying the Sabretooth miniseries done in '93 by Larry Hama and Mark Texeira, although even that grew a little tired a couple issues in, and there were several forgettable miniseries and one-shots after that.
Sabretooth is the monster in the monster movie, and the story is actually focused on those going up against him.
In addition, his generally overly muscled characters are not to be found in most of the work, with the exception of Sabretooth, who has that ugly '90s Image look to him.

The problem with exploring any of the Sabretooth/Wolverine rivalry from the comics, is that the established storylines have already basically rewritten their relationship so that a long standing rivalry can't exist.
In the comics, Wolverine, Sabertooth, Maverick, and Silver Fox all have their minds messed with, including taking memories out, and adding new ones in.
If this is suppose to be a prequel, then by all means, have a giant back-story on the Sabertooth/Wolverine conflict, and then at the end of the film, have them both captured by the Weapon X crew, and proceed to wipe all of the memories out.

All other minicomics, from 1984 and on, were produced solely by Mattel (and, quite frankly, somewhat lacked the quality of the first ones).
The DC minicomics were drawn by Mark Texiera, who has gone on to draw such books as "Ghost Rider," "Sabretooth," and other assorted things.

If there was ever an event that triggered a comics boom in the 90's, it was the launch of a little known Marvel project simply called X-Men.

The story arc's exploration of Blink's return to Age of Apocalypse during her absence from the team might imply that this Holocaust is the one introduced in said comics and not an alternate universe variant.
Just previous to this mission to the AoA, the now-powerless Sasquatch was replaced by the AoA Sabretooth who had been left in the David Richards reality.
It is not associated with Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Darkhorse Comics and including all those that the author forgot to mention.

 Dallas Comic Shop: Zeus Toys and Comics: May 4, 2005 for Comics, Statues, Magazines and Trades, DVD's
There's no need convincing anyone how big this book is going to be, and DC seems to be 3-for-3 so far with its run of mini-series leading into this fall's Infinite Crisis.
This book can be mediocre at best sometimes, but this is one of those issue that really hits the nail on the head in both featured stories.
First off is a tale of comic woe as Spidey's powers go on the blink after a run-in with a supercharged Electro, written by Christopher Yost and penciled by Drew Johnson.
