  Champagne Louis de Sacy
Old records witness that vineyards existed in Verzy from the year 700 and the presence of the Sacy family can be traced back as far as 1633.
At that time Bartelemy Sacy owned a vineyard at "The Champ Saint-Rémi" near Verzy which is situated in the heart of the Montagne de Reims.
In recent years the Sacy family has made a major investment in redeveloping the production facility and is proud of their ability to produce Champagne of superb quality modern techniques yet maintaining the traditional values and skills of wine making that has been passed on from generation to generation.

Crystal structure of a new RNA-binding domain from the antiterminator protein SacY of Bacillus subtilis
The RNA-binding and antitermination capacity of SacY resides in the 55 amino acids at the N-terminal [SacY(1−55)].
It was shown in vitro that the RNA-binding capacity of SacY is situated in the N-terminal 55 residues [SacY(1−55)] (Manival et al., 1997).
The remaining part of SacY (residues 56 to 280) is indeed responsible for the regulation of the antiterminating activity: this domain senses indirectly the external level of inducer through the general energy coupling proteins of the phosphoenolpyruvate:sugarphosphotransferase system and a sucrose-specific PTS-permease (Tortosa et al., 1997).

In an open letter to Sacy, he showed that proper names and foreign words were written phonetically in demotic, although he incorrectly assumed demotic to be primarily alphabetic.
In 1808 Sacy refined Kircher's claim by suggesting Coptic grammar preserved something of the grammar of hieroglyphics, a fact later exploited by Champollion.
One of Sacy's students first introduced the idea that foreign words and names were written phonetically in Chinese using standard characters appropriately marked to distinguish phonetic usage.
