		The Village of Sackets Harbor in within the western part of the Town of Hounsfield.
		After the Embargo Act of 1807, the community was a base of anti-smuggling operations between the USA and Canada.
		American military officer and explorer Zebulon Pike was killed in 1813 while taking part in the military operations in Ontario and is buried in the village.
