The hexagonal and rectangular stone tiles, seen on pavements in the post-modern era, were used in Sadras township as early as the 16th century when the Dutch colonised the settlement.
However, in the last decade, the entrance of the fort was rebuilt, paving way for the excavations on the eastern side of Sadras.

SeedQuest - Central information website for the global seed industry
According to Dr Victor Sadras, a crop scientist with South Australia's Research and Development Institute, trials in high-tech farming systems in Argentina have shown that sunflowers on 1.4 metre rows can be inter-planted with soybeans with only minor effects on sunflower yield.
So, Dr Sadras says, whatever yield is taken from the soybeans and they are affected by shortage of water and by shade from the taller sunflower plants in their early stages is extra productivity and profit.
Dr Sadras said large farms in Argentina were now using the inter-cropping system and, in some cases, attaining close to the ideal yield sunflowers might achieve when planted on their own.

Leah Sadras, the evening’s able D.J., notes that this type of group instruction helps break the ice at religious all-women’s dance events; she has played more than half a dozen in Ramat Beit Shemesh alone during the past couple of years and has run several in Jerusalem as well.
Sadras says that the biggest difference between religious women and their secular counterparts, in terms of their participation on the dance floor, is that “there is an issue of reticence versus freedom,” she explains.
Sadras, who is secular, happily observes the degree to which these women are able to eventually let go and the confidence she sees growing in the room without the presence of men.

Dr Victor Sadras, of CSIRO Land and Water, said deep tillage effectively removed the constraints imposed on crop growth by compacted soils, with wheat yields improving by up to 43% on some soil types in the trials, supported by growers and the Federal Government through the Grains Research and Development Corporation.
Mr Dr Sadras said the greatest response was on sand hills, with sandy loam flats showing markedly less response to ripping treatments.
Mr Dr Sadras said more work was required to devise practical diagnostic tools to iidentify soils where compaction was reducing grain yield, and to assess their responsiveness to deep tillage.
