Saeed Ahmad Khan(1900-1996) (Amir (1981-1996)) was born in the Hazara area of the North-West Frontier of British India (in modern-day Pakistan).
At the age of six, he included his name on a postcard from his village to take the baiat or (Oath of Allegiance) with Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in Qadian.
He retired as a doctor in 1964, but continued as a General Practitioner in Abbottabad, treating the poor free of charge.

Saeed also has the distinction of being conferred the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, London (1994), and Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, in 2001.

The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i-Islam (not to be confused with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association), formed as a result of an ideological differences between the Ahmadiyya Community after the demise Maulawi Nur 'ud-Din in 1914, the first Khalifa of its founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.
The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement believes Mirza Ghulam Ahmad to be the Mujaddid (reformer) of the 14th century Hijra and not a true prophet.
In contrast, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association proclaim Mirza Ghulam Ahmad to be a prophet and believe Muslims not subscribing to this belief to be outside the fold of Islam.

Region Home Secretary Saeed Ahmed Khan told reporters on Saturday that they had made fool- proof security arrangements for the foreigners by providing them police escorts on the Karakoram Highway from Karimabad, Hunza to Jaglote.
Mr Khan said curfew had left them stranded in Hunza and Gilgit.
The home secretary said that in the next phase, local tourists would be evacuated to safer areas as essentials were running out in hotels.
