The inspiration that Sagada has given him enabled him to finish writing "Phil'ing Free" in 2001, a 300-page book that talks about his travels amid the background of food and culture that he encountered in various countries he had visited.
In 1992, Heyer loaded his Peugeot mountain bike with 30 kilograms of luggage, including 10 kg of spare parts and clothes, a stove, a sleeping bag, a camera and a radio, and embarked on a cross-country journey.

Funny because in our first day we were not aware that they Sagada imposes a 9:00 pm curfew.
There are a few bars and restaurants in town where one may get a beer or two but these bars adhere to the curfew.
