This last European summer ("98), we bought a long wheel-base, high-top Fiat Ducato van, which we had fitted out with two bunks, a small kitchen and very colourful decals of a skiff with it's "kite" in the colours of the SA flag.
We were scheduled to compete in the Sydney Harbour Olympic Classes Regatta, and then between Christmas and New Year head down to Melbourne for three weeks of training before the "99 World Championships which is a selection regatta for the 2000 Olympics.
After this summer in Australia, our plan is to spend the European summer of "99 travelling the European Olympic Circuit for six months after which we have our sights set on representing South Africa at the Pre-Olympic Regatta to be held in Sydney in September 1999.
