 The Choir Today
Saint Patrick’s Day was marked by a special broadcast of the morning Eucharist on RTE, the setting being that by Colin Mawby specially commissioned by Saint Patrick’s Cathedral to mark the millennium.
During the course of the year, the choir also linked up for joint evensongs with the men of Saint Mary’s Edinburgh, the boys of Saint Andrews Cathedral, Sydney and the men and boys of Saint David’s Cathedral, all at Saint Patrick’s.
In October they visited a local church, Saint Bartholomew's, and combined with their excellent choir, to sing a special evensong celebrating the opening of the rebuilt organ and in November combined with the recently formed Cathedral Chamber Choir in a performance of Durufle’s Requiem.
