Father Garbiel arrived at Saint Ann's Parish in August, 1954; and one of his first acts as Pastor was to sign the contracts for the erection of the school and the auditorium.
In 1990 due to demographic changes within the city, Saint Ann's and Saint Francis' Elementary Schools became one -John Paul II Interparochial School occupying the building formerly St. Ann's School and serving the Parishes of St. Ann and St. Francis in Hoboken and St. Lawrence in Weehawken.

Lawrenceville's new church, named in honor of Saint Ann, Mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus, was issued a Certificate of Incorporation on August 9, 1937, the recorded foundation date of Saint Ann parish.
The first five pastors of Saint Ann resided at Morris Hall and in 1951 the present rectory at 1253 Lawrence Road was purchased.

Camille in 1909 and established a semi-permanent residence when he built "Saint Ann's Catholic Church Youth Center." Paradoxically, Teller Mission of the early 1940's was then known as "Saint Emma." Records are unclear when the mission changed names from Saint Emma to Saint Ann.
Lawrence Nevue, S.J., another who ministered to the Teller Catholic community, bought a building in 1962 to serve as Saint Ann's parish church.
Jack de Verteuil and James Falsey are other diocesan priests who visited the Teller parish from Nome during the early 1990's.
