Of noble birth, Mechtilde of Hackeborn, at the age of seven, was placed as an oblate with the nuns of Russdorf, where shortly afterwards her sister, Gertrude, was elected abbess.
St Gertrude the Great was born on the Epiphany 1256, of unknown parentage, and before the age of five, she was made an oblate of Helfta.
Neither saint has been officially canonized, but Gertrude's feast is in the general Calendar of the Roman rite, and Mechtilde's is kept by some Benedictine convents.

Once the boys are safely away they seek refuge in an old, abandoned Church where they meet a Nun who goes by the unlikely moniker of "Saint Sista." She is nothing like the Nuns at Saint Gertrude’s and shows Emery that all Catholics aren’t evil, Bible thumping morons.
The story of the Saint in issue #1 especially is well paced and looks to be primed for more action-packed vampire stories.
