The Centre Stone at Sion in St. John is traditionally regarded as the centre of the Island although it is far from the geographic centre by modern calculations.
Saint John (Jèrriais: St Jean) is one of the twelve parishes of Jersey in the Channel Islands.
Saint John is in the north of Jersey and borders St Mary on its west, Trinity to the east, and St Lawrence and Saint Helier on its south.

St John's is one of the oldest Catholic congregations in the state, and one of the oldest Catholic churches.
The congregation was organized in 1826 (only Sacred Heart in Trenton and St Joseph's in West Milford are older parishes), and some sources say this building was erected in 1828.
